New Friends in Missoula

We met and rode with a Brit, Rolf today who's riding the transam to the east coast from Portland OR- first time in America.
And Anders found a new friend that just might be the mayor of Missoula. We met him and other friends at the Oxford bar. They all wanted to join us on our ride.

Meeting more cyclists now

Now that our Lewis and Clark trail has joined the trans-American trail we're meeting many more cyclists of every age. Some are 75, 70, 67, 55 and younger. But there one thing we've learned it's not about how much or what kind of equipment you have it's the heart and desire that'll carry you through the miles.

Where to stay?

Every night we have to figure out where to stay for the night. Sometimes it's camping, either at a city park, state campground, or just off the side of the road. Sometimes it might be a motel, warmshowers, or even an old trailer as we did in Winnet. Each one has it's pro and cons. A city park with showers and a pool might just be best.
We try to clean the chain and tighten bolts every 4-5 days
